About The Position

The Key Holder assists with opening and closing duties, helps lead Guest Service, and bridges the gap between frosting and Guest Services by crafting orders. This role creates a warm and welcoming environment for guests, handles both in-person and telephone interactions, and performs side work duties for the Crafting Department, including light cleaning and clerical tasks. The Key Holder also assists in maintaining the crafting department, ensuring it is supplied, clean, and running efficiently.

Responsibilities

Assists with opening and closing duties.
Leads Guest Service.
Crafts orders, bridging the gap between frosting and Guest Services.
Creates a warm and welcoming environment for guests.
Serves guests in person and by telephone.
Performs side work duties for the Crafting Department.
Performs light cleaning and clerical duties.
Maintains the crafting department, keeping it supplied, clean, and running efficiently.
Introduces walk-in guests to the bakery and products using a Guest Tour.
Suggests creative solutions to guests with walk-in orders.
Suggests the purchase of add-ons and retail to enhance the product experience.
Assists phone-in guests with their orders.
Operates and balances the POS with accuracy and efficiency.
Collects email addresses from guests.
Maintains current and complete knowledge of prices, products, and promotions.
Keeps the retail area clean, swept, and neatly merchandised.
Dusts all retail surfaces at least twice per week.
Carries out duties assigned by the crafter and other departments.
Coordinates the timing of all orders between Guest Services and Frosting departments.
Wraps/boxes all frosted cakes for same-day/next-day orders.
Follows the Crafting Manual to assemble designs.
Maintains a ready inventory of pre-made design pieces for walk-in and same-day orders.
Prints and verifies the delivery log.
Tracks crafting material inventory.
Makes and fluffs bows.
Generates personalized message cards.
Keeps the crafting area clean and sanitized.
