About The Position

We are a Small Private Business: We are seeking a friendly and service-oriented Sales Associate to join our team! As a Sales Associate, you will assist customers with their shopping needs and ensure excellent shopping experience. Responsibilities may include working the register, stocking shelves, processing inventory, and maintaining the store’s appearance. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in customer service and knowledge of cash register operations along with Opening & Closing a store.

Requirements

Previous experience in customer service
Knowledge of cash register operations
Opening & Closing a store
Understanding of sales techniques and best practices in customer service
Willingness to work well in a team environment
Ability to quickly and accurately work a register and current technology
Willingness to work a flexible schedule
Weekend availability is a must

Responsibilities

Greeting Customers and Engaging in Conversation to help and build customer loyalty.
Operating the cash register, processing purchases and returns and communicating product information to customers.
Unloading, unpacking and processing merchandise from the stockroom and new deliveries to the sales floor daily and in a timely manner.
Helping open/closing the store and preparing the sales floor for customers, including maintaining display standards.
Sweeping, straightening shelves, and wiping down display shelves/fixtures and work areas.
Learning about merchandise to answer customer questions and speak knowledgeably about products.
Function as a vital member of the store team. Have a willingness and initiative to jump in and help daily without supervision.
Understanding and following established store, and company policies and procedures.
