About The Position

Admiral Beverage is seeking a Key Account Manager in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role involves persuading major chain customers to implement sales promotion and marketing programs for Admiral Beverage Corporation and its suppliers. The Key Account Manager will travel to retail buyer representatives of chain customers to promote company-sponsored sales and marketing programs. Responsibilities include developing and executing customer contact schedules, market evaluation tours, business reviews, and sales strategies (including CDA Programs, Grand Openings, and other customer events) to meet corporate profit and volume goals. This position also coordinates chain customer sales and marketing strategies with local market sales center managers, strategizes with chain customers to drive sales results through marketing plans, and provides reports to coordinate activities with customers and corporate managers. Building relationships with customers, suppliers, and corporate managers in both office and social environments is crucial. The role also involves planning, organizing, and executing client entertainment activities, and taking sales orders from customers while completing required documentation. Other duties may be assigned by a supervisor. The position carries supervisory responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts and apply concepts such as fractions and percentages.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills, including data retrieval from host computer and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively establish rapport and promote a positive business image with customers and suppliers.
