About The Position

The key account manager handles Skechers most important clients. The Key Account Manager must build and maintain strong client relationships, serve as the lead point of contact for all key client matters, anticipate client needs, and work across the company to meet client deadlines and help the client succeed. The Key Account Manager will also bring in new business through market research and build and develop relationships with existing clients. Travel is required throughout the territory, and the role is responsible for the following states: North Carolina and South Carolina.

Requirements

  • 6+ Years' experience in Footwear (kids preferred), national account sales, or relevant experience.
  • Ability to present product and communicate brand strategy to accounts accurately and effectively.
  • Working knowledge of the retail footwear industry.
  • Ability to effectively manage your time and work against business deadlines.
  • Analytically strong, understanding of retail math, fluent in Excel and PowerPoint, and overall business orientation.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, make recommendations, and provide solutions.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Domestic travel required up to 40%.
  • Ability to conduct meetings through MS Teams and Zoom

Responsibilities

  • Provide the highest level of service and technical expertise each season, from sell-in to sell-thru.
  • Achieve sales goals by quarter and by category as defined by their manager.
  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with all levels of external account leadership, internal business partners, and relevant departments.
  • Coordinate and prepare seasonal product presentations.
  • Drive analysis of account base – business planning, inventory management, sell-through analytics.
  • Proactive order book management.
  • Continuous sales analysis to manage product life cycles, inventory models, capitalize on successes, and address issues as needed.
  • Monitor competitors' activities and performance and implement strategies and tactics to compete.
  • Knowledge and discipline to adhere to distribution guidelines.
  • Work as a liaison with the National Sales Manager, customer service, sales analyst, and in-store marketing team.
  • Deliver all required reports, for example, weekly sell-through analysis, on time.
  • Market research through store and account visits 2-3 times a month.
