Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in engineering/chemical or business required, preferably with specialization in automotive sales.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the automotive industry, ideally Sales or Account Management required.
  • Customer focus and ability to collaborate effectively for achievement
  • Strong negotiations skills
  • Effective communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and hold accountabilities for all commercial and technical activities for the customer Hyundai-Kia in the US.
  • Ensure sustainable profitability and growth of the respective business.
  • Communicate effectively with the key account team members.
  • Own mid-management relations to Hyundai-Kia in the US, and ensure robust pricing, claim management, and working-capital discipline across the value chain.
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with decision-makers at the OEM entities.
  • Ensure right levels of local customer satisfaction by proactively addressing customer needs and concerns.
  • Support global GKAM teamwork, including regular team meetings, conference calls, and GKAM summits.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration (involving Application Engineering, Quality, Sales, Program Management, and Controlling) to align on global account objectives.
  • Pursue and win new business opportunities and competitive bids.
  • Identify and drive local growth initiatives within the account.
  • Manage local Request for Quotations (RFQs), price calculations, quotes, and Capital Approval Requests (CARs).
  • Ensure compliance with corporate guidelines for quote and CAR approvals.
  • Ensure effective commercial management throughout the product lifecycle in close cooperation with Marketing colleagues.
  • Identify and implement measures to enhance account profitability.
  • Optimize business rules for improved operational results.
  • Work closely with the Margin Manager to lead local claim management efforts with OEM.
