About The Position

Reliance is seeking a Key Account Manager, Commercial Programs to join their team. This role is crucial for achieving growth targets and performance KPIs across all business lines, with a specific focus on expanding HVAC, Water Heating, and Water Purification in the commercial sector. The position involves prospecting for new commercial accounts, managing a sales pipeline, executing a 6-step sales process, and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction. The role also requires analyzing market trends, representing Reliance at industry events, and maintaining strong product knowledge.

Requirements

  • Strong growth mindset with ambition, dependability, and a desire to develop within Reliance
  • 5+ years of B2B consultative sales experience, including 2+ years selling to enterprise/C‑suite clients
  • Proven success in prospecting, new customer acquisition, and exceeding sales targets
  • Experience implementing large enterprise agreements and influencing stakeholders without authority
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem‑solving abilities and adaptability in a changing environment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments in a cross‑functional structure

Responsibilities

  • Achieve growth targets and performance KPIs across all business lines, with a focus on expanding HVAC, Water Heating, and Water Purification in the commercial sector.
  • Prospect daily for new commercial accounts and respond promptly to inbound leads to assess needs and propose aligned solutions.
  • Build, manage, and maintain a strong sales pipeline to consistently meet targets, using CRM tools to track activity and performance.
  • Execute Reliance’s 6‑step sales process to qualify opportunities, develop winning strategies, and close new and existing account businesses.
  • Collaborate with branch teams, contractors, and cross‑functional stakeholders to support installations, improve operational efficiency, and ensure smooth onboarding of new accounts.
  • Analyze competitive trends to strengthen sales strategies and provide regular pipeline updates for forecasting.
  • Represent Reliance at industry events to network, identify opportunities, and stay informed on market needs.
  • Deliver exceptional service while maintaining strong product and value‑proposition knowledge.
