Position Summary: The Key Account Manager is responsible for contributing to the development, management, and growth for Pharmavite and the Nature Made, MegaFood, and new products. This role assists in developing and executing strategic revenue-driving activities.

Requirements

  • Requires 3-5 years of field sales experience with either a manufacturer, broker, or retailer (purchasing/category buyer) with an emphasis in the HBC (Health & Beauty Care) or Nutritional category preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Competent knowledge of the CPG industry and FDMC channel.
  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, and in presentations.
  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
  • Ability to work with and lead cross-functional teams
  • Ability to build and cultivate strong customer relationships
  • Strong analytical skills
  • “Team first” mentality: take on other assignments as needed to support the team
  • Knowledge of online retailers and marketplaces; understanding of e-commerce and digital selling channels.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Circana, Symphony, and Apollo
  • Understanding of the P&L and selling strategy to deliver on P&L objectives

Nice To Haves

  • Key Account experience and headquarters knowledge are preferred.
  • A business or Marketing degree is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs to sales and expense goals in an assigned area of responsibility.
  • Executes Albertsons Corporate Initiatives within approx. 7 assigned divisions.
  • Prepares a business plan, strategy, and works on ad hoc programs in conjunction with the Director of Sales to maintain and increase incremental programs in designated divisions.
  • Monitors and identifies competitive activity within the channel
  • Responsible for managing Pharmavite’s Omnichannel business activity within its customer portfolio. This will include developing sales and marketing strategies, along with ensuring content is accurate for the assigned divisions
  • Responsible for cultivating relationships with Albertsons' national and Assistant Sales Managers within the assigned responsibility. This will include maintaining strong communication at multiple management levels within the divisions.
  • Responsible for following Pharmavite policies and procedures regarding daily and monthly tasks; these include, but are not limited to, sales reporting, quarterly personnel reviews, expense report management, and facilitating meetings.
  • Effectively communicates and partners with various Pharmavite teams outside of the Sales organization, including finance, marketing, demand planning, customer service, and others, to collaborate on account strategies and resolve any issues.
  • Partner with the Pharmavite Customer Marketing team to create and implement marketing and promotional programs for Albertsons.
  • Review and interpret sales reports, both internal and external POS tools, such as Circana and similar platforms.
  • Partner with the Director and Pharmavite category management team to develop strategies for products, product mixes, and product positioning to drive revenue goals.
  • Attends industry events and trade shows to implement company priorities, enhance knowledge, and provide networking opportunities for future Pharmavite business opportunities.
  • This role requires regular travel (approximately 35-40%), primarily for customer, client, and partner meetings; team meetings, strategic planning sessions, and events/conferences.
