About The Position

Drives a Salvation Army vehicle to malls to pick up gifts and transport them to the Christmas warehouse, and travels to homes, agencies, and churches to collect gifts, stockings, and other donations. Loads and unloads donations and gifts between the vehicle and warehouse. Operates the vehicle in compliance with Salvation Army standards and state driving regulations, and ensures the safety, security, and accountability of the vehicle and donations. Drives kettle workers to and from kettle locations and assists with work at the Christmas warehouse and center as requested.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of driving experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of the assigned geographic area.
• Ability to organize routes to save time and gasoline consumption.
• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with coworkers and donors.
• Ability to perform general building cleaning activities.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to become and remain certified to drive a Salvation Army vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Load, carry, and unload Christmas donations and gifts from the vehicle to the warehouse.
• Operate the vehicle in compliance with Salvation Army standards and state driving regulations.
• Ensure the safety, security, and accountability of the vehicle and donations.
• Drive kettle workers to and from kettle locations.
• Assist with work at the Christmas warehouse and center as requested.
