About The Position
Emerald Trace is seeking compassionate Kentucky Medication Aides (KMAs) to join our dedicated Personal Care Memory Support household. If you enjoy building meaningful relationships, providing person-centered care, and working alongside a supportive team in a beautiful, mission-driven community, we'd love to meet you. We currently have opportunities available on both: Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM At Emerald Trace, we believe memory care is about far more than medication administration. It's about creating meaningful moments, preserving dignity, and helping each resident experience purpose, comfort, and connection every day. As part of our memory support team, you'll work in a collaborative household environment where caregivers know their residents, leadership is accessible, and quality care always comes first.
Requirements
- Current Kentucky Medication Aide (KMA) certification required
- Active Kentucky Nurse Aide Registry status preferred
- Experience in long-term care, assisted living, personal care, or memory care is preferred
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Dependable with a strong commitment to resident-centered care
Responsibilities
- Safely administer medications in accordance with Kentucky regulations and physician orders
- Observe residents for changes in condition and communicate concerns promptly
- Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed
- Document medication administration accurately
- Support residents living with dementia using patience, compassion, and person-centered approaches
- Work closely with nurses and caregivers to provide exceptional care
- Help create a calm, engaging, and welcoming household environment
