About The Position

Animal Medical Center is seeking a Kennel Technician who takes pride in providing exceptional daily care and maintaining a clean, safe environment for the pets entrusted to us. This role is essential to the health, comfort, and happiness of our boarding pets—and to the overall success of our veterinary team. As a Kennel Technician, you will play a vital part in our patients’ daily care and well-being. This is an active, fast-paced position that requires physical stamina, strong attention to detail, and a genuine love for animals.

Requirements

• Compassionate, dependable, and energized by hands-on work with animals
• Able to be on your feet most of the day
• Able to lift and handle pets and equipment safely
• Ability to work independently rather than as part of a team
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays
• Dependability and flexibility are essential

Nice To Haves

• Experience with dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
• Dislike cleaning (sanitation is a major part of this role)

Responsibilities

• Providing daily boarding care (feeding, walking, cleaning, monitoring)
• Maintaining clean, sanitary, and safe kennel areas
• Bathing and performing basic grooming services (nail trims, ear cleanings, anal gland expression)
• Assisting veterinary staff with safe pet handling and comfort support
• Monitoring pets for changes in behavior or health and promptly reporting concerns
• Treating every pet as if they were your own
