About The Position

Canine Country Club & Wellness Center is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and hardworking Full-Time Kennel Technician to join our growing veterinary and boarding team in Dallas, Texas. In this hands-on role, you'll provide exceptional care to our boarding guests and hospitalized patients while supporting our veterinarians and veterinary team. As a Full-Time Kennel Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, comfort, and well-being of every pet entrusted to our care.

Requirements

  • Ability to safely handle dogs and cats of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
  • Excellent observation skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working in a physically active role that includes standing, walking, lifting, bending, cleaning, and working around animals throughout the day.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Mandatory weekend availability. Team members participate in a rotating weekend schedule and may be assigned full or partial weekend shifts based on the operational needs of the hospital and boarding facility.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in a veterinary hospital, boarding facility, kennel, animal shelter, daycare, or similar animal care setting preferred.
  • Genuine passion for animal health and welfare.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate daily care for boarding and hospitalized dogs and cats.
  • Feed, water, exercise, and monitor pets according to established care plans.
  • Observe animals for changes in behavior, appetite, mobility, or overall health and promptly communicate concerns to the veterinary team.
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians or licensed veterinary staff.
  • Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care and handling as needed.
  • Maintain clean, sanitized kennels, cages, treatment areas, and common spaces following hospital protocols.
  • Safely restrain animals during examinations and treatments when appropriate.
  • Launder bedding, restock supplies, and maintain an organized work environment.
  • Follow infection control, safety, and biosecurity procedures.
  • Deliver outstanding care and ensure every pet has a comfortable, low-stress experience.
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to support efficient daily hospital and boarding operations.
