About The Position

As a Kennel Team Member, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and comfort of animals under our care. Your primary focus will be to maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment within the kennel facility, which directly impacts the well-being of the animals. You will be responsible for daily feeding, grooming, and monitoring of animals, as well as assisting with their exercise and socialization. This role requires a compassionate and attentive approach to animal care, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with a team to support overall kennel operations. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to providing a positive experience for both the animals and their owners, fostering trust and satisfaction in our services.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to safely handle and care for animals of various sizes and temperaments.
• Basic knowledge of animal care and hygiene practices.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, cleaning, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability in following established protocols.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working in a kennel, animal shelter, veterinary clinic, or related environment.
• Certification in pet first aid or animal care.
• Familiarity with common animal behavior and health indicators.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and pet owners.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Feed, water, and provide daily care for animals according to established schedules and dietary requirements.
• Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas to maintain a hygienic environment and prevent the spread of disease.
• Monitor animals for signs of illness or distress and report any concerns promptly to supervisory staff or veterinary professionals.
• Assist with exercising and socializing animals to promote their physical and emotional well-being.
• Support intake and release procedures, including documentation and communication with pet owners and team members.
