About The Position

The Kennel Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a kennel facility, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and comfort for all animals housed. This role involves managing staff, coordinating animal care schedules, and maintaining facility cleanliness and compliance with health regulations. The Kennel Manager will develop and implement protocols for feeding, exercise, and medical care, working closely with veterinarians and pet owners. Additionally, the role requires managing inventory, budgeting, and customer service to ensure a positive experience for clients and their pets. Ultimately, the Kennel Manager plays a critical role in fostering a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for animals and staff alike.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with animals in a professional setting, preferably in a kennel or animal care facility.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage a team effectively.
• Basic knowledge of animal health and safety standards.
• Strong leadership and communication skills daily to guide and motivate staff, ensuring consistent and compassionate animal care.
• Organizational skills are essential for managing schedules, inventory, and facility maintenance efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train kennel staff to provide excellent animal care and customer service.
• Develop and maintain daily schedules for feeding, exercise, cleaning, and medical treatments.

• Manage inventory of supplies including food, cleaning products, and medical materials.
