About The Position

Howlin Hollows Farm is seeking a motivated Kennel/Daycare Attendant to work in the play areas and provide for the overall care and well-being of dogs. The role includes maintaining the facility’s play areas and supporting smooth facility operations, dog care, and client service. The work takes place outdoors year-round in all types of weather and includes daily heavy cleaning.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience caring for animals is recommended.
• Be self-motivated, a self-starter, and a quick thinker, and work with minimal supervision.
• Enjoy working outside with dogs year-round in all types of weather.
• Ability to interact positively, calmly, and non-threateningly with dogs of all sizes and types.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and a variety of shifts.
• Strong communication skills and good judgment; ability to manage stressful situations.
• Willingness to perform heavy cleaning daily.
• Physically fit and agile; able to lift 50+ pounds.
• Provide work references.
• Pass random drug screens.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience caring for animals.

Responsibilities

• Supervise groups of dogs playing and exercising outside year-round.
• Maintain clean and healthy indoor and outdoor environments, including kennel and play areas.
• Record dog feedings, treatments, and other updates.
• Monitor and document important information about dogs’ behavior and habits.
• Clean pet waste, spilled food, and other messes from kennels and play areas.
• Bathe dogs.
• Perform other assigned duties to support facility operations, dog care, and client service.
