About The Position

Animal Clinic of Honolulu is a busy, progressive, full-service small animal hospital located in Kaimuki. Our team is passionate about providing exceptional patient care while creating a supportive workplace where team members can learn, grow, and enjoy coming to work. Our hospital includes four full-time veterinarians and a talented team of more than 25 veterinary professionals. We offer wellness care, surgery, dentistry, acupuncture, laser therapy, boarding services, digital radiography, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory diagnostics. We're looking for a compassionate, dependable Kennel Attendant who enjoys caring for pets and being part of a collaborative veterinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and patients with warmth and professionalism
  • Provide compassionate care to boarding cats and dogs from intake through discharge
  • Feed, walk, and provide daily care for boarding patients
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed
  • Clean kennels, cages, runs, and laundry while maintaining sanitation standards
  • Monitor patients for changes in behavior, appetite, or condition
  • Assist with bedding, enrichment, and patient comfort care
  • Practice fear-free and low-stress handling techniques
  • Accurately document patient care and treatments in medical records
  • Support hospital cleanliness throughout the kennel and treatment areas
