Requirements
- Genuine love and respect for animals of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments
- Ability to safely handle and restrain animals, including those that may be stressed or fearful
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in an active environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation protocols
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in animal care, veterinary settings, or shelters is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide daily feeding, watering, and monitoring of animals in the kennel
- Clean and sanitize kennels, runs, and common areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Observe animals for signs of illness, injury, or behavioral changes and report to veterinary staff
- Handle and socialize animals with care, patience, and compassion
- Assist with animal intake, adoption, and transfer processes as needed
- Administer basic medications or treatments under veterinary supervision
- Maintain accurate animal care records and documentation
