Kennel Assistant
About The Position
Healing Hearts Animal Urgent Care is seeking a Pet Care Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys hands-on patient care, and brings empathy and positivity to every interaction. This role is perfect for someone eager to develop their skills in urgent care while being part of a supportive and collaborative team. In this role, you will focus on patient husbandry and care as well as general housekeeping duties throughout the hospital. You will provide meals and walks to boarding patients, administer medication, and monitor for any medical or behavioral concerns while providing detailed documentation about your observations. You will ensure kennels, common spaces, and treatment areas are sanitized and well stocked with supplies.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a veterinary hospital setting
- Strong work ethic and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Calm demeanor and compassionate approach to both patients and clients
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Interest in urgent care or emergency medicine is a plus
