About The Position
Companion Animal Hospital is hiring a Part-Time Kennel Assistant! This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to begin building experience in veterinary medicine while continuing school or balancing other commitments. You’ll play an important role in keeping the pets in our care safe, comfortable, clean, and well cared for throughout their stay. Companion Animal Hospital offers steady part-time work with flexible scheduling designed to accommodate school or other work commitments. You can look forward to hands-on experience in a veterinary hospital setting, a great opportunity to begin exploring a career in veterinary medicine, steady part-time hours, some scheduling flexibility around school or other work commitments, opportunities to work directly with animals every shift, exposure to the day-to-day operations of a full-service veterinary hospital, and a team focused on the safety and well-being of every pet in our care.

Responsibilities
- Feeding animals according to their individual care instructions
- Supervising play groups
- Cleaning and maintaining kennels
- Keeping clinic areas clean and sanitary
- Monitoring pets for changes in health or behavior
- Administering medications as directed
- Maintaining accurate records
- Following written care instructions closely
- Helping maintain a safe environment for animals and team members
- Communicating concerns about a pet’s health or behavior to the appropriate team member
- Supporting the team with daily kennel and animal-care responsibilities
- Providing compassionate and respectful care to every pet
