About The Position

This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in gaining hands-on experience in veterinary medicine while working with a variety of species, including dogs, cats, birds, exotic pets, and pocket pets.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Comfortable working around animals of all sizes, temperaments, and species
- Interest in learning about veterinary medicine and animal husbandry
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically active work throughout the shift
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in animal care, veterinary medicine, boarding facilities, shelters, or pet care services
- Familiarity with caring for dogs, cats, avian species, exotic animals, reptiles, and pocket pets
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, treatment areas, and hospital facilities
- Feed, water, and provide basic care for hospitalized and boarding patients
- Walk dogs and monitor patient comfort and well-being
- Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians with patient care tasks as directed
- Launder bedding, restock supplies, and maintain organization throughout the hospital
- Observe and report changes in patient behavior, appetite, or condition
- Help ensure a safe, clean, and stress-free environment for all animals
