About The Position

Woodland Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Kennel Assistant to care for boarding pets and help maintain a clean, comfortable environment. The role includes providing meals, walks, and companionship; administering medications; monitoring patients’ health and behavior; documenting observations; and communicating concerns to the veterinary team. The Kennel Assistant also keeps kennels, treatment areas, and shared spaces clean, organized, and stocked to support hospital operations.

This is a flexible, part-time position with shifts available seven days a week. Compensation is $19–$21 per hour worked. Part-time team members may be eligible for limited benefits under company policy and applicable state law.

Requirements

• A genuine passion for animal care and patient well-being.
• Confidence working with dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments.
• Awareness of animal behavior and willingness to learn patient safety and handling techniques.
• Physical ability to meet the demands of a hands-on animal care role.
• Strong observational skills and willingness to communicate patient concerns to the veterinary team.
• Interest in learning and growing within the veterinary profession.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a kennel assistant or kennel technician.
