About The Position

Companion Animal Hospital, a full-service animal hospital in Eagan, is looking for a part-time Kennel Assistant who loves working with animals. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a veterinary hospital while continuing school or balancing other commitments. We offer steady work in a supportive veterinary environment with some flexibility in scheduling. You’ll have the opportunity to work directly with animals, learn more about veterinary care, and build valuable experience alongside a team focused on the safety, comfort, and well-being of every pet in our care.

Requirements

• A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Reliability and the ability to follow established care procedures
• A compassionate and patient approach to animal care
• The ability to work weekends, evenings, and occasional holidays
• Previous animal experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Feed and provide daily care for animals
• Supervise play groups and monitor pet interactions
• Clean and maintain kennels and clinic premises
• Maintain accurate records
• Monitor animals for changes in health or behavior
• Administer medications as directed
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all pets
