About The Position
The Kamaliʻi Recruitment & Enrollment Navigator supports Liliʻuokalani Center’s recruitment and enrollment process by bridging strategic outreach efforts with program enrollment. This role focuses on increasing access and strengthening relationships with kamaliʻi and their ʻohana to ensure smooth entry into programs, resources, and services at Liliʻuokalani Center. Lili’uokalani Center, informed by a deep understanding of the adolescent experience and grounded in Hawaiian culture, provides Native Hawaiian youth with opportunities to connect with peers and mentors, access supportive services, and explore pathways to passion, purpose, and prosperity. As the newest initiative of Liliʻuokalani Trust, the Center serves as a vibrant youth hub where kamaliʻi can learn, play, and build connections. The Liliʻuokalani Center is a safe, pro-social space where youth are inspired to pursue their dreams through the arts, sports, technology, life readiness, and wellness while receiving wraparound supports that help them reach their goals and thrive.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, education, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and life/work experience (minimum four years) will be considered.
- At least two years of experience working with youth in social services, case management, or community engagement settings; experience with juvenile justice or child welfare preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to various work environments (e.g., schools, public spaces, offices, and distressed communities).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with youth and their ʻohana.
- Knowledge of Hawaiian culture, values, and community dynamics, with the ability to integrate these into outreach and engagement efforts.
- Comfortable working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Valid Hawaiʻi driver’s license and clean traffic abstract.
- Current TB clearance.

Responsibilities
- Serve as a welcoming and consistent point of contact for kamaliʻi and ʻohana during the enrollment process, providing a positive initial and long-term enrollment experience.
- Guide and implement program enrollment process.
- Provide guidance and support to youth participating in LC programs, including the implementation of the check-in process and coordination of drop offs and pick up with parent/ guardians.
- Collaborate with the Kamaliʻi Recruitment and Wellness Team to plan and implement inclusive, culturally grounded events, tours and open houses.
- Support virtual and in-person recruitment and enrollment strategies that align with LC’s mission and vision.
- Assist with facility operations including opening, closing, and monitoring spaces to ensure safety and readiness.
- Provide administrative support such as documentation, data collection, and reporting to assess program impact.
- Coordinate volunteer opportunities and placements to enhance program capacity and youth involvement.
- Build relationships with community organizations, schools, and stakeholders to support outreach and recruitment efforts.
- Represent LC at community events and assist with youth leadership initiatives, including support for the Youth Advisory Committee.
- Evening and weekend hours required as needed.
- Contribute to team success by supporting colleagues, learning new skills, and accepting new assignments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
