K5 Paraprofessional
About The Position
The K5 Paraprofessional assists the teacher by working with individual students or small groups to help them take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with either an associate degree, 48 college credits, or successful completion of the district’s qualifying test to become highly qualified. Required background clearances include Act 151, Act 34, Act 24, and FBI clearance, all of which must comply with Pennsylvania Department of Education criteria for hire. Experience working with children is preferred but not required. Candidates must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
