About The Position

Wise School is seeking a full-time Technology & Innovation Teacher for students in kindergarten through grade 6. This role involves teaching the established technology curriculum while also evaluating and developing it as technology evolves. The ideal candidate is an excellent teacher first, understanding elementary-aged children and creating engaging learning experiences, with a passion for technology and innovation. The position focuses on teaching, learning, curriculum, creativity, and innovation, not IT support, which is handled by a dedicated IT department. The teacher will provide students with age-appropriate experiences in digital literacy, citizenship, computational thinking, creative design, multimedia, data analysis, and emerging technologies like AI. A key aspect of the role is curriculum development, ensuring the program aligns with current standards and best practices, identifying gaps, recommending new tools, and developing an AI literacy approach. The teacher will also serve as an instructional technology resource for faculty, collaborating on curriculum enhancement, introducing new tools, managing digital subscriptions, and providing professional development. The goal is to build a forward-thinking technology program that supports student learning and creativity.
