About The Position

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Elementary Physical Education (PE) Teacher to promote physical activity, healthy habits, and motor skill development in young students. The ideal candidate will create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and lifelong fitness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or related field.
  • Valid teaching certification in Physical Education (state-specific).
  • Knowledge of child development and best practices in elementary PE instruction.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school or recreational setting.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate PE lessons that align with state and national physical education standards.
  • Teach students fundamental motor skills, movement patterns, rules of games/sports, and fitness concepts.
  • Organize and supervise physical activities, games, and fitness routines that promote skill development and overall health.
  • Foster a positive and respectful classroom environment that encourages participation and inclusion of all students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress in physical skills, fitness, effort, and behavior.
  • Promote healthy lifestyle choices and educate students about physical well-being.
  • Ensure the safe use and proper maintenance of all physical education equipment and facilities.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, staff, and parents to support student development and school-wide wellness initiatives.
  • Participate in school events, professional development, and other duties as assigned.
