Benjamin Franklin Charter School is looking for a K-6 ESS Teacher to join our Elementary Team for the 2026-2027 school year. This role involves supporting the school's vision, mission, and goals by providing a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment focused on academic excellence. The teacher will deliver direct instruction using a Back-to-Basics curriculum, including Spalding (reading & writing), Math, Science, and Social Studies, while preparing and following lesson plans correlated with the prescribed curriculum and pacing guides. Key responsibilities include evaluating student needs, using assessment data to inform instruction, communicating effectively with students, parents, and professionals, maintaining accurate records, and striving for professional growth. The position also requires serving as a case manager for students with disabilities, training and supervising a resource classroom aide, maintaining confidentiality, and complying with all state and federal special education laws. Collaboration with staff, development of strategies for academic and behavioral needs, monitoring student progress, and participation in IEP meetings and development are also essential components of this role.
