About The Position

Provide targeted reading and/or mathematics intervention for students in grades K-5 at Mespo Elementary School who require supplemental academic support through the district's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). Collaborate with staff and families to improve student achievement through evidence-based instruction and ongoing progress monitoring.

Requirements

Valid Ohio Teaching License. (K-5)
Knowledge of Ohio Learning Standards and evidence-based instructional practices.
Knowledge of MTSS and student progress monitoring.
Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with elementary literacy and/or mathematics intervention preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide small-group and individual reading and/or mathematics intervention.
Deliver district-approved intervention programs using evidence-based instructional practices.
Progress monitor students and use assessment data to adjust instruction.
Maintain accurate intervention records and MTSS documentation.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to align intervention with core instruction.
Participate in MTSS, grade-level, and intervention team meetings.
Communicate student progress with parents, teachers, and administrators.
Assist in identifying students requiring Tier II and Tier III interventions.
Support implementation of district literacy and mathematics initiatives.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with district policies and Ohio Department of Education and Workforce requirements.
Participate in professional development and continuous improvement activities.
Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal.
