About The Position

SANY’s Syracuse Academy of Science Charter Elementary School is seeking a Teacher Partner for the 2026-2027 school year. This role is designed to support teachers and students within a welcoming environment that encourages both new and experienced educators. Teacher Partners will be involved in instructional preparation, providing intervention to small groups of students, active participation in school meetings and events, implementation of classroom policies, student supervision during transitions, and effective management of student behavior.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required
Fingerprint clearance through NYS Department of Education

Nice To Haves

Certification preferred but not required
Certification in ELA and Math a plus
Experience with a diverse population of students or in an urban setting a plus
Prior teaching experience preferred, but novice teachers are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities

Assist with preparation and instruction
Work closely with small groups of students and provide intervention
Actively participate in weekly meetings and attend all school-wide events
Implement classroom policies and procedures
Lead students to and from specials/lunch
Effectively manage student behavior
Perform other related duties as required and assigned
