About The Position

The K-12 Counselor position at Liberty HS is responsible for providing comprehensive counseling services to students within the K-12 framework. This role involves supporting students' academic, career, and social-emotional development. The counselor will work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators to foster a positive and productive learning environment. This position is for the 2026-2027 school year.

Requirements

• Valid Nevada School Counselor license or eligibility.
• Master's degree in School Counseling or a related field.
• Experience working with K-12 students.
• Knowledge of counseling theories and practices.
• Understanding of child development and learning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Proficiency in relevant technology and software.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual skills (Spanish/English).
• Experience with crisis intervention.
• Knowledge of college and career readiness programs.
• Experience in data analysis for program improvement.
