Position Summary: Starting August 2026 We are seeking a passionate and dedicated K/1 Educator who is a true team player and a lifelong learner. This educator will co-teach with another educator. will join a collaborative, supportive, and mission-driven team of professionals committed to nurturing the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, reflective, and excited to grow alongside students and colleagues in a joyful learning environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education
  • Valid teaching certification/licensure (or in the process of obtaining)
  • Experience teaching kindergarten and/or first grade preferred
  • Strong understanding of child development and early literacy and numeracy instruction
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Must be a team player and a lifelong learner
  • Must be enthusiastic, reflective, and excited to grow alongside students and colleagues
  • Must thrive in a startup environment and embrace the energy, challenge, and opportunity that comes with building something meaningful from the ground up
  • Must be a roll-up-your-sleeves team player who is flexible, solutions-oriented, and willing to go the extra mile when needed
  • Must be comfortable wearing multiple hats, putting in the time necessary to support students and colleagues, and approaching challenges with a consistently positive attitude
  • Must be proactive and collaborative

Responsibilities

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that supports the developmental needs of kindergarten/first-grade students
  • Intellectually plan and deliver developmentally appropriate, standards-aligned instruction that fosters curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning
  • Collaborate closely with teaching partners, specialists, and support staff to meet the needs of all learners
  • Use ongoing assessment and observation to inform instruction and support individual student growth
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with students, families, and colleagues
  • Model positive behavior, empathy, and problem-solving skills
  • Participate actively in team meetings, professional learning communities, and school events
  • Reflect on teaching practice and seek out professional development opportunities
