About The Position

BBA Afterschool Inc. is hiring patient, enthusiastic, and dependable K–1 Academic Tutors to provide engaging academic support for Kindergarten and 1st-grade students in Silver Spring, MD. This position is focused on helping young learners strengthen their foundational academic skills through fun, age-appropriate activities and personalized support. Tutors will work with students in a supportive after-school environment and help build confidence, classroom skills, and a positive attitude toward learning.

Requirements

• Comfortable working with Kindergarten and 1st-grade students
• Patient, encouraging, and dependable
• Strong communication skills
• Reliable transportation to the program location
• Must successfully complete the required background check process

Nice To Haves

• Experience tutoring or working with young children preferred
• Education, tutoring, reading, math, or child-development experience is a plus
