About The Position

One opening exists for a probation officer who will supervise a caseload of juvenile youth; enforce orders of the court and conditions of supervision; review rules of probation supervision and special conditions with juvenile and family; meet with juvenile in office and field; investigate complaints about juvenile promptly; prevent future delinquent acts and technical violations through evidence-based practices and supervision; conduct investigations, prepare social/legal case histories, intake summaries, and probation updates; transport juvenile to/from appointments, court hearings, community service projects, as well as placement facilities; conduct drug and DNA tests; place juvenile on electronic monitoring and monitor status; and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, criminology, social work, sociology, psychology, or a related field
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver's license without infractions that would prevent hire
