OREGON YOUTH AUTHORITY Juvenile Parole & Probation Officer Bend - OYA Deschutes County Parole & Probation Field Office Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of youth? The Oregon Youth Authority (OYA) is seeking a dedicated Juvenile Parole and Probation Officer (JPPO) to provide supervision and case management services to youth in our care. In this role, you’ll use developmental and cognitive behavioral models to assess risk/needs, develop case plans, and coordinate treatment and placement services tailored to each youth’s individual and cultural needs. The primary responsibilities of this position include: Promoting and fostering an inclusive and positive work environment by addressing work-related issues promptly and taking appropriate action. Supporting a safe workplace by identifying and reporting safety concerns to the Field Supervisor as needed. Ensuring the physical and psychological safety, healthy development, and overall well-being of youth while upholding the safety of the broader community. With a focus on accountability and fostering positive behavior change, you’ll collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including families, community partners, and educational providers. By employing Positive Human Development (PHD) principles and the Developmental Approach to Parole and Probation (DAPP), you’ll play a key role in helping youth build a foundation for success while maintaining vital community connections. Additional Information: Location: The office is located in Deschutes County in Bend, Oregon however your case loads may be located at other Eastern/Central Oregon counties based on business needs. Hybrid Work Schedule: This position may be eligible for up to 16 hours of remote work, as determined by the Supervisor. The salary range listed is the non- PERS participating rate. If you are already a participating PERS member or once you become PERS eligible, the salary range will increase by 6%.
