About The Position

This is temporary or hourly paid work performing law enforcement, public safety, corrections, or investigative services. Positions in this job are established for less than nine months or scheduled for less than 30 hours per week and are not eligible for benefits if the position status is temporary. This position is scheduled for 29 hours per week and is part-time. The role is with the Department of Juvenile Justice at Augusta YDC in Augusta, Georgia, and is on the night shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of Basic Law Enforcement training.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and provide immediate response to crises.
• Provide on-site intervention for youthful offenders assigned to the institution.
• Enforce institutional policies, rules, procedures, and regulations.
• Enforce rules, regulations, and state laws necessary for offender control and management and the maintenance of public safety.
