About The Position

Under supervision, performs specialized office work of moderate difficulty. This role involves processing confidential and sensitive documents related to misdemeanor, felony, and civil cases, updating electronic records, researching and disbursing information, and recording court proceedings. The position also includes receiving and processing payments, fees, or bonds, compiling reports, and preparing for court hearings. Responsibilities may extend to issuing warrants, notifying attorneys, composing correspondence, answering phones, assisting other agencies, training staff, and managing accounting records.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience in clerical work
  • Must pass fingerprint clearance
  • Must be able to meet ethical standards for judicial personnel at work and in personal life
  • Must have clean criminal background
  • Considerable knowledge of Justice Court terms and meanings
  • Considerable knowledge of office practices and procedures
  • Considerable knowledge of rules and procedures of department, including state and federal law
  • Considerable knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and other computer applications
  • Considerable knowledge of business English, spelling and arithmetic
  • Skill in the operation and maintenance of a variety of office equipment
  • Skill in customer service
  • Skill in researching and problem solving
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public
  • Ability to work safely and support the culture of workplace safety
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
