About The Position

The Junior Varsity (JV) Athletics Manager, reporting to the Director of Athletics and the Director of International Outreach and Admissions, will lead the development, implementation, and ongoing administration of JV athletics programs. These programs are primarily designed to grow international student enrollment at the College. Initial JV programs will include women’s and men’s soccer, women’s volleyball, women’s softball, women’s and men’s basketball, women’s and men’s track, and men’s baseball. The International Education department will serve as the main point of contact for prospective international students, families, and agents. This role will provide athletics expertise, coach coordination, program infrastructure, and athletics-specific support for admitted and enrolled international student-athletes. In collaboration with International Education, the Manager may also assist coaches in evaluating prospective international student-athletes when athletics expertise is required. The position also involves supporting planning for future tennis opportunities and assisting with budget, enrollment, and program sustainability analysis.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in athletics administration, program management, student services, international education, enrollment management, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint.
  • Skill in project management.
  • Skill in exercising independent judgment and recommending solutions.
  • Skill in coordinating programs involving multiple staff or stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the development and launch of JV programs across designated sports.
  • Develop program timelines, procedures, schedules, and participation expectations.
  • Work closely with coaches to determine roster needs, tryout processes, reporting dates, practice schedules, and competition opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary liaison among Athletics, coaches, and International Education, facilitating referrals and timely follow-up between IE staff and coaches, including athletics evaluation of prospective international student-athletes when appropriate.
  • Participate in the development of international recruitment materials and strategies.
  • Coordinate operations including facilities, equipment, transportation, staffing, and scheduling.
  • Develop consistent processes and standards across JV programs.
  • Identify implementation barriers, evaluate options, and recommend solutions.
  • Coordinate athletics-specific onboarding and ongoing guidance for admitted and enrolled international JV student-athletes.
  • Help student-athletes understand team expectations, schedules, athletics processes, participation requirements, and available resources, and refer them to appropriate IE or College services as needed.
  • Coordinate with IE and other College offices when concerns affect participation, adjustment, engagement, or retention.
  • Track international enrollment, JV participation, retention, and student experience.
  • Prepare reports, evaluate processes, and make recommendations for program improvement to Athletics and IE leadership.
  • Support planning for future tennis opportunities.
  • Assist with budget, enrollment, and program sustainability analysis.
