Junior US Equity Trader
About The Position
This position will report to the Co-Head of the Equity Division and Head of Equity Trading as well as the Dept head. Primary responsibility will be assisting the senior trader with the hedging responsibilities for the firm’s proprietary risk positions. This will include US market delta and gamma hedging via equity and options markets, futures trading. There is a small amount of foreign equity trading such as Japan and Hong Kong stocks. A successful candidate will be a well-organized and analytical thinker that can coordinate between our colleagues locally and in Japan. The trader is responsible to coordinate with all pre and post trade policies to ensure smooth straight through processing for a highly efficient desk.
Requirements
- Four-year degree required.
- Regulatory licensing required: Series SIE , 7, 63, 57, 3 and 4 as a minimum. Series 24 helpful.
- A candidate with an understanding of regulatory trade reporting responsibilities, Short sell rules, REG Sho regulations…etc will be highly evaluated.
- Proficient Japanese language speaker a must.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 3 years in a similar trading role at a competing firm is helpful but we would consider training the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating between Front office, middle office and back office on Pre trade set up and Post Trade reporting in a smooth and efficient manner.
- Coordinating with colleagues locally and abroad to ensure a common understanding of the firm’s requirements for service, and ensuring a cost competitive execution.
- Pre and Post trade reporting to our colleagues in Japan.
