About The Position

Dutch Bros is a rapidly growing company on a mission to deliver speed, quality, and service to our customers. The Dutch Bros Treasury team is seeking a Junior Treasury Analyst to support this mission by managing corporate risk programs, evaluating customer payment disputes, and supporting core treasury functions. This role actively supports the company's corporate insurance program, investigates customer payment disputes and chargebacks, and serves as an operational backup for core daily Treasury functions. The ideal candidate possesses high attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage cross-functional workflows across multiple web and banking portals in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field required; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 0–3 years of experience in finance, treasury, risk management, or payment processing.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (specifically Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and dispute-resolution skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to summarize financial data clearly.
  • Ability to handle competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • High commitment to internal controls, compliance, and risk mitigation.
  • Must be able to work in a busy, crowded, and loud office with frequent distractions and interruptions
  • Must be able to collaborate in-person with occasional impromptu in-person meetings
  • Adaptability to typical office conditions, which may include exposure to air conditioning, heating, artificial lighting, and varying noise levels
  • Ability to sit, stand, reach, twist, stretch, and work at a desk for long stretches.
  • Must be able to occasionally move or lift office items up to 25 pounds
  • Hearing must be sufficient or correctable to ensure clear understanding of spoken information, including participating in virtual meetings and phone calls. Use of hearing aids or other assistive devices is acceptable if needed.
  • Ability to read and write in English is essential for processing documents, drafting reports, and following up on necessary actions. Proficiency in written communication is required to handle job-related tasks effectively.
  • Vision must be adequate or correctable to perform essential job duties, such as reading documents on a computer screen and using other visual tools. Use of corrective lenses or other measures to meet visual requirements is expected if needed.
  • Must be proficient in operating a computer and other office productivity tools such as printers, scanners, and collaboration software.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders via email, video conferencing, and other in office communication tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior retail or multi-unit franchise experience is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience navigating bank portals, merchant processing portals, and specialized web applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the daily administration of the corporate insurance program, including gathering renewal exposure data, maintaining certificates of insurance (COIs), and tracking claims.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external brokers to support risk mitigation initiatives across retail locations.
  • Monitor risk metrics and compile reporting to assist leadership in evaluating corporate risk exposures.
  • Manage and resolve incoming customer experience escalation tickets related to payment processing issues, credit card disputes, and chargebacks.
  • Analyze transaction logs and navigate merchant portals to research chargeback notices, gather and evaluate evidence, and submit timely dispute responses.
  • Identify recurring payment dispute trends or portal errors and collaborate with IT, Shop Operations, and Customer Experience teams to resolve underlying root causes.
  • Serve as a trained operational backup for core daily treasury functions, including cash positioning, wire/ACH processing, and daily liquidity monitoring.
  • Maintain user access, account updates, and administration across various bank portals, merchant service portals, and web-based financial tools.
  • Support month-end close procedures, bank account reconciliations, and audit requests related to treasury and risk management controls.
  • Enforce treasury policies and procedures across all store operations.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX requirements, audit standards, and company policies.
