About The Position

We are seeking a Junior Trader with Fixed Income experience to join our trading team in Northfield, Illinois. This role is built for someone with experience on a relative value trading desk who is hungry, disciplined, and willing to put in the work required to develop into a strong trader. This is an on-site role. Candidates must be willing to relocate to the Chicago area and work from our Northfield office for no less than two years.

Requirements

• Experience on a relative value trading desk, 6 months minimum.
• Fixed income trading experience preferred.
• Strong work ethic, discipline, and willingness to grind through details.
• Ability to learn quickly, take feedback, and improve through repetition.
• Strong attention to detail and sound judgment under pressure.
• Comfortable working in a demanding, performance-driven trading environment.
• Must be willing to relocate to the Chicago area.
• Must be able to work onsite at our Northfield office for a minimum of two years.
• Takes ownership of outcomes and does not need constant hand-holding.
• Is curious about markets and willing to do the daily work required to build edge.
• Can handle pressure, uncertainty, and direct feedback.
• Cares about precision, risk, and process.
• Wants to earn responsibility through consistent performance.

Responsibilities

• Support relative value trading activity across fixed income and related markets.
• Help identify and evaluate relative value opportunities.
• Monitor market conditions, liquidity, positioning, and macroeconomic developments.
• Assist with trade execution, risk monitoring, and portfolio analysis.
• Work closely with senior traders, research, risk, and operations teams.
• Build and maintain tools, reports, and models to support trading decisions.
• Stay engaged with markets throughout the day and be prepared to work long hours when conditions require it.
