About The Position

We are seeking a student for the 2026 Fall Term, to be based in our Halifax area (Bedford) location. This co-op position is for a Junior Technical Consultant. The term will run from September 2nd, 2026, to December 22nd, 2026, with an hourly rate and 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Software Engineering, with at least three years of undergraduate study completed. This role offers an introduction to Scrum Agile development, experience in small cross-disciplinary teams, and exposure to enterprise-level content management systems. You will have the opportunity to contribute to web-based projects for Fortune 500 clients, gaining experience in front and back-end web development, and developing transferrable technical skills. The role is dependent on funding.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of the web stack.
• A solid grounding in object-oriented programming.
• Experience leveraging the model-view-controller pattern.
• Strong written & verbal skills.
• Ability to work well within a team/group environment.
• Be enrolled in the Co-op program with your institution.

• Experience with WordPress or other CMS is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Writing, analyzing, and presenting technical and functional documentation.
• Investigating and proposing internal tools, processes & software improvements.
• Collaborating on technical designs & sales presentations.
• Participation in front & back-end web development, enterprise CMS implementation & application development.
