About The Position

We are seeking a motivated Junior Systems Engineer to support mission-critical initiatives across the National System of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and Federal Agencies. In this role, you will work alongside senior engineers and government stakeholders to support systems engineering activities that ensure timely, accurate, and reliable GEOINT capabilities. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals looking to build experience in systems engineering, integration, cloud technologies, and mission-focused solutions within the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related technical or scientific field such as: Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology Management, Information Systems, Related STEM discipline.
  • Equivalent experience may be substituted for a degree: 4 additional years of experience with no degree, or 2 additional years of experience with a non-STEM degree.
  • 0–6 years of systems engineering experience in government or industry environments.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance adjudication, or ability to obtain SCI eligibility and successfully pass a polygraph.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts and languages.
  • Working knowledge of software development frameworks.
  • Understanding of geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) environments and mission areas.
  • Previous experience supporting NGA and/or NSG/ASG programs.
  • Previous Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD) program experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support systems engineering activities including requirements engineering, solutions engineering, integration, testing, maintainability, reliability, and resiliency efforts.
  • Assist with planning, requirements analysis, and traceability across system architectures, workflows, and operational procedures.
  • Support efforts to automate or improve existing systems and evaluate cloud service capabilities and scheduling limitations.
  • Contribute to solution design activities based on customer requirements, technical analysis, and emerging technologies.
  • Assist in translating mission and customer needs into system and capability requirements.
  • Support requirements allocation across system architecture components and related programs.
  • Assist with systems integration activities across NSG/ASG environments.
  • Support Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), trade studies, and engineering assessments.
  • Assist with strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design activities.
