About The Position

The Junior Systems Analyst's primary role is to provide technical guidance to the department and organization in the areas of software application support. To assist in administering the Credit Union’s hardware and network resources. Maintains current knowledge of technology necessary to function in position; continuing education as needed. Networks with other financial institutions to stay abreast of current trends. Ensures compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures affecting department. Exhibits leadership to the staff and creates an atmosphere conducive to quality performance and morale. May serve as project leader, with overall responsibility for in-house development and/or implementation of vendor-based automated systems. Assists in managing the PC/LAN servers and shared network devices. Works with IT Support Specialist and users to analyze needs, recommends solutions for PC-based applications; participates in product research or PC programming projects as necessary. Work directly with internal clients to understand the individual needs of the Credit Union. Assists with coordination of application/hardware enhancements to existing computer systems, including analysis, design specifications, documentation, and liaison between vendors and client users. Assists in developing network standards and conventions, configuring network software, etc. Validate that configuration and software enhancements meet functional and technical requirements. Test and debug all systems before moving to the live directory. Provide systems support for any changes made to existing business environment. Monitor user proficiency in applications and provide on-going training. Ensure that all system updates are communicated to users. Update online scripts to reflect any resulting changes in systems, departmental procedures, or policies. Assists with coordination of hardware enhancements to existing computer systems, including analysis, design specifications, documentation, and liaison between vendors and client users. Assists with coordination of technical aspects of conversions, file expansions, and interfaces. Remain knowledgeable of operations and the computer systems within client departments to provide comprehensive support. Reports project status and deviations from goals to the VP Information Technology. Informs the VP Information Technology of any system problems which may interfere with the normal operation of the organization. Requirements

  • Two-year degree in Computer Information Systems, or a relevant field.
  • One to three years of similar or related experience.
