About The Position

We are seeking a motivated Junior Systems Administrator to support and maintain our IT infrastructure. This role involves hands-on work with servers, networks, telephony, and end-user systems, ensuring reliability, performance, and security across the environment. The ideal candidate has a foundational understanding of system administration and networking, with a willingness to learn and grow. This position is based in Denver and requires regular on-site presence to support infrastructure and end users.

Requirements

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • a solid understanding of all core technologies in the area of information systems i.e., networking, telephony, operating systems, hardware, security, support, etc.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Industry certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft/Linux certifications)
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
  • Experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Team-oriented with a proactive attitude
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and take initiative

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of physical and virtual servers
  • Support daily operations of network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security using standard tools
  • Perform routine system updates, patching, and backups
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues; escalate when necessary
  • Manage and resolve infrastructure-related support tickets, including server, network, and system access issues, within established SLAs
  • Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions in the ticketing system
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls (Active Directory, Azure AD, or similar)
  • Support endpoint devices (desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices)
  • Maintain documentation for systems, configurations, and procedures
  • Assist with disaster recovery planning and testing
