About The Position

Within the department of Fuel Supply Chain, the missions of the Strategic Initiative Coordinator are to coordinate the activities of the Fuel Supply Chain teams at Richland to ensure their coherence with the global strategy and report on the advancement of the actions defined in the Supply Chain Global RoadMap. This role involves preparing and making suggestions for the improvement of the Fuel Supply Chain efficiency to reach targets defined by management, leading local Task Forces and Projects, and contributing to an assessment of the supply chain’s strengths and weaknesses. The position also requires identifying and performing Make or Buy studies, leading the roll-out of management priorities among stakeholders and partners, and supporting supply chain entities with operational aspects. The role includes representing the supply chain in major industrial changes, supporting projects related to strategic supply chain development, and following Demand Management to monitor strategy coherency. Additionally, it involves developing the link between Fuel Supply Chain America and the Lynchburg site, specifically Fuel Design & Fuel Contracts.

Requirements

  • Experience in the supply chain
  • Knowledge of project management, with experience in leading cross-functional projects
  • Ability to bring together multi-disciplinary teams and to work with external stakeholders, in particular customers, suppliers and regulatory authorities
  • Analytical and summarising skills
  • Open-mindedness and good interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • General knowledge of the industrial sector and its manufacturing processes
  • Good negotiation, communication and coordination skills
  • Holder of an engineering degree in industrial, mechanical or nuclear engineering, or in supply chain management
  • English (Operational)

  • Experience in the nuclear sector is an advantage

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the activities of the Fuel Supply Chain teams at Richland to ensure their coherence with the global strategy and report on the advancement of the actions defined in the Supply Chain Global RoadMap.
  • Prepare and make suggestions for the improvement of the Fuel Supply Chain efficiency in order to reach the targets defined by the management in alignment with the Global RoadMap.
  • Lead the various local Task Force and Projects for which Fuel Supply Chain is responsible according to the mandate given by the management.
  • Contribute to an assessment of the supply chain’s current strengths and weaknesses within its perimeter and propose improvement actions.
  • Identify the potential Make or Buy studies needed and take the lead on performing the Make or Buy studies according with the mandate given by the Supply Chain management.
  • Lead the roll-out of the priorities given by the management and in alignment with the Global RoadMap amongst supply chain stakeholders and external partners.
  • Support the various supply chain entities with the operational aspects of this roll-out.
  • Representing the supply chain in major industrial changes led by Richland site.
  • Support projects related to this strategic development of the supply chain.
  • Follow the Demand Management and monitor the coherency between the current strategy and the mid-term evolution of the demand.
  • Develop the link between Fuel Supply Chain America and Lynchburg site, especially Fuel Design & Fuel Contracts.
