Junior Staff Accountant - Tarrytown, NY
About The Position
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Junior Staff Accountant to support accounting operations and financial reporting in our Tarrytown, NY office. Our Government Services Division supports local, state, and federal agencies and delivers professional and objective medical and psychological examinations as well as ancillary services. Our Payer Services Division meets the evaluation and screening needs of Carriers, TPAs, Public Entities and Employers and includes behavioral health and physical medicine specialty services, working with a wide range of organizations within the workers' compensation, disability, liability, and auto markets. Our Clinical Research Division performs all types of Phase II-IV clinical trials in multiple therapeutic areas through a flexible nationwide network of site locations and virtual capabilities.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred
- 1+ year of accounting experience (3+ years preferred)
Responsibilities
- Perform transaction testing, analytical procedures, and account reconciliations
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports using Solomon software
- Review and code vendor invoices; correct AP/AR and GL entries
- Review corporate AmEx expenses and supporting documentation
- Verify and approve payments to disability doctors
- Prepare quarterly and annual P&L reports by location
- Maintain accounting schedules and assist with other duties as needed
