About The Position

The Junior Sous Chef plays a key role in supporting the Sous Chef and Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, staff supervision, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Requirements

• Experience as a Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen.
• Strong culinary skills with a passion for high-quality food and presentation.
• Knowledge of kitchen operations, including stock control, safety, and hygiene.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in the daily management of kitchen operations.
• Oversee food preparation and ensure dishes meet established quality standards.
• Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow.
• Contribute to menu development, including specials and seasonal items.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
• Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory control, and coordinate ordering as needed.
• Help train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and professional environment.
• Step into the Sous Chef role when they are absent, ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain consistency and innovation in dishes.
