About The Position

Sonalysts, Inc is seeking a software engineer with critical thinking and effective communication skills to perform system and software engineering functions for defense system development projects. The role involves developing and maintaining the Model Based Systems Engineering plan for complex Department of Defense systems of system programs, modeling and simulation of undersea weapons and launcher systems, and participating in various aspects of software development including Application Programming Interfaces (API) development, systems integration, and testing. The engineer will participate in all areas of the software development lifecycle from planning through test and sustainment, and collaborate across a diverse team of developers, engineers, testers, stakeholders, and end users. The majority of the work must be performed on site at Sonalysts or Government facilities.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen, eligible for a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical degree
  • 1-4 years’ experience in software engineering, systems engineering and application development
  • Candidates are eligible for a clearance if they have demonstrated sound financial management (including good credit) over time, are free of criminal records, have limited foreign contacts or ties, and other factors indicative of a position of trust to protect information sensitive to the U.S. Government.

Nice To Haves

  • Possess an active Department of Defense SECRET security clearance
  • Experience with CAMEO or other MBSE tools
  • Experience with MATLAB, or python
