About The Position

Modern Intelligence builds Sovereign, a targeting software for unmanned systems like UAVs, USVs, and UUVs. Sovereign runs on the vehicle's computer, detecting, classifying, and tracking targets from onboard cameras, maintaining identity even with signal loss, and enabling terminal guidance. It operates reliably without GPS and under radio jamming conditions. The company has secured Department of War contracts, including work with Air Force Special Operations and SOCOM, and has raised over $12 million from various investors. This role involves taking technology from test ranges to battlefield applications. The software team is small but growing rapidly due to increased customer engagement. Engineers will be expected to travel and support field deployments and integrations, with a specific focus on product deployment in Ukraine. The Sovereign product is an Automated Target Recognition and Automated Terminal Guidance solution designed for any platform and domain, with ongoing expansion to meet diverse autonomy requirements for unmanned systems. The company seeks engineers passionate about drones, autonomy, supporting military personnel, and defending democratic values.
