Junior Software Engineer (S) - MIS
About The Position
This position is ideal for students who have begun gaining relevant experience and are building their skills through internships, part-time jobs, or significant projects. It is typically aimed at sophomores or juniors who have completed a combination of introductory and advanced coursework. The role involves assisting in the development, testing, and deployment of software solutions and business automations using programming and AI tools. The engineer will analyze existing business processes and systems to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements, collaborate with team members and other departments to gather requirements and document solutions, and prepare charts, diagrams, and documentation to support problem analysis and solution recommendations. Additionally, the role includes developing and maintaining scripts, bots, or applications that automate repetitive tasks and improve workflow, participating in the product lifecycle, including upgrades and implementation of new features, and preparing and presenting factual reports and recommendations based on studies and surveys. Other job-related duties may be assigned by management.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Information Systems, or related degree program.
- 6 months to 2 years’ experience in programming, software development, or database analysis preferred.
- Familiarity with AI tools, automation frameworks, and modern programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
- Good working knowledge of personal computers and operating systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
