Acrisure Mortgage is looking for a recent graduate to join our growing tech team as a Junior Software Developer! Position Summary We’re seeking a Junior Developer who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow into full-stack developer. You’ll work closely with senior developers, data engineers, and product managers to build, test, and deploy software solutions that power key business systems.This is a learning-focused role — perfect for recent university graduates with a solid programming foundation and a desire to gain real-world experience in modern software development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong foundation in at least one programming language (Python, Java, or JavaScript preferred)
- Familiarity with databases and basic SQL queries
- Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and web application concepts
- Experience with Git or other version control tools
- Curiosity, accountability, and willingness to learn new technologies
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to cloud computing within AWS.
- Experience with web frameworks such as React, Spring Boot, or Flask
- Familiarity with Agile development and DevOps tools (GitHub, Jira, Docker)
- Coursework or internship experience with data engineering, APIs, or automation projects
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain new features in internal applications and APIs
- Collaborate with team members through code reviews and daily standups
- Participate in design discussions and assist with technical documentation
- Troubleshoot and debug software issues
- Work with cloud services (e.g., AWS Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway)
- Contribute to data processing or automation tasks using Python, SQL, or JavaScript
- Follow secure coding, version control, and testing best practices
